In-House Design & Engineering
Our design and engineering departments work hand in hand to ensure clients are provided with the best possible designs before committing to final production. From the conception of ideas, we can create and engineer high-quality 3D rendered models so that our clients can best view and assess the end product before commencing prototyping and production, ensuring that the final design is suitable for end-use.
In simple terms, the process of vacuum forming involves a flat sheet of plastic being perimeter clamped and then heated to an elastic forming state.
The mould is then pressed against the sheet, and a vacuum ensures that the sheet maintains its place until it has cooled back down. Once the sheet has cooled down, the plastic retains the shape of the mould.Learn more
Our fabrication department can manufacture, assemble, and pack any combination of plastics, mouldings, acrylics, steel, aluminum, and timbers to create eye-catching displays and many other items. Our fabrication equipment includes an extensive array of plastic benders, CNC routers, Lasers, and robotic ultrasonic welders.
We can shape and assemble any material to best suit your requirements from large scale floor display cabinets through to small countertop displays and brochure holders. We have the facilities and flexibility to handle any size project.
Using the latest software and modern 5-axis CNC machines, our skilled engineering team and dedicated pattern shop staff are capable of 3D machining a variety of materials to quickly and accurately create patterns and tools. Having this process in house gives greater control of overall project budgets and lead times.
Precision Laser Cutting
Vacmould Displays has in-house 3-axis laser cutting to offer high quality finished parts guaranteeing accuracy and precision are maintained, all while simultaneously ensuring aesthetics and safety through polished edging on the cutting surface.
Having our laser cutters allows for fast off prototyping and final production, reducing the risk of errors through having multiple companies involved in the manufacturing process as well as ultimately reducing overall project costs.
3 Axis Router
Our 3-axis routers can cut a variety of materials from ply to thick foamed PVC sheets. A vacuum is used to hold the material in place while a rotating router bit is used to cut to the desired shapes, much like a manual hand router without the risk of operator error, fatigue, and tolerances, ensuring that all parts are identical.

Vacmould Displays has also introduced robotic plastic welding.
This process enables us to safely and consistently produce quality results for vacuum formed multi-component parts that require bonding. The implementation of robotics has significantly reduced the human error associated with manual processes as well as reducing the overall costs of the manufacturing process.
